192.168.254.254 Router Login

192.168.254.254 is the address used by PLDT for its Home Fibr and DSL modems and by Globe on some At Home units, which makes it one of the most searched router addresses in the Philippines. The hardware is made by Huawei, ZTE, Fiberhome, Prolink and others, but PLDT configures all of it with this gateway. PLDT modems have two accounts: a regular admin account with limited settings, and a superadmin account, adminpldt, that unlocks bridge mode, DMZ, port forwarding and the full Wi-Fi configuration.

How to log in at 192.168.254.254

  1. Connect to the gateway’s network. Join its Wi-Fi or plug in with an Ethernet cable. Mobile data, a VPN, or a different router’s Wi-Fi will not reach 192.168.254.254.
  2. Type the address in the URL bar. Enter http://192.168.254.254 exactly, in the address bar at the top of the browser, not in a search box. Some devices also answer to a hostname such as the IP only.
  3. Accept a certificate warning if one appears. Routers that use HTTPS on the local network present a self-signed certificate. On your own router the warning is expected; choose Advanced and proceed.
  4. Sign in. Use the credentials from the table above or from the label on the gateway. Usernames are case-sensitive on some firmware.
  5. Change the admin password. Do this before anything else. Default credentials are public, and remote management, if enabled, exposes the login to the internet.

Common mistypes of 192.168.254.254

None of these open anything. Each is a slip that sends people to a search page or a timeout instead of the admin panel.

192.168.254.254 will not open: what to check

Wrong gateway. The most common cause by far. Read the Default Gateway from your device: ipconfig on Windows, Wi-Fi details on macOS, iPhone and Android, or ip route on Linux. If it is not 192.168.254.254, that is the address to use. If the ISP unit is in bridge mode behind your own router, its page is not reachable from your network; connect a computer directly to it.

Typed into search. A page of search results means the address went to a search engine. Click the address bar, clear it, and type the IP again. Adding http:// in front forces the browser to treat it as an address.

HTTPS forced. Some browsers upgrade to https:// automatically and the router does not answer there. Type http:// explicitly.

VPN or private DNS. A VPN routes everything away from the local network; secure DNS in the browser can break router hostnames. Turn both off while you log in.

169.254.x.x address. If your device shows an address starting 169.254, it never received one from the router. Restart both devices, and check the cable or Wi-Fi connection.

Forgotten password. Defaults failing means someone changed the password. Hold the reset button for about ten seconds to return the unit to factory settings, which also erases its configuration and Wi-Fi name.

Frequently asked questions

What is the PLDT admin password for 192.168.254.254?
The basic account is admin with 1234 on most units, or the password printed on the modem label. The full-access account is adminpldt with a password that PLDT changes across firmware versions; PLDT support can provide it or make the change for you.
What is the difference between admin and adminpldt?
admin gives you Wi-Fi name and password and a device list. adminpldt gives the complete configuration, including bridge mode, port forwarding, DMZ, DHCP and LAN settings.
Why does 192.168.254.254 say access denied?
PLDT blocks the superadmin login from Wi-Fi on some firmware; connect by LAN cable. Some units also block the page after several failed attempts; wait a few minutes or power-cycle the modem.
Can I use my own router with a PLDT modem?
Yes. Either ask PLDT to enable bridge mode or log in as adminpldt and enable it yourself, then connect your router’s WAN to LAN1. Without bridge mode you can still use your router but will have double NAT.
