Router Login IP Addresses

To log in to your router you need three things: its IP address, the admin username and the admin password. The address is almost always one of a dozen private IPs, and the credentials depend on the brand. This page lists them for every major manufacturer and ISP, with the steps to find the right one for your network.

Each row shows a default gateway address, the brands and providers that ship with it, and the factory login. Credentials shown as “printed on label” are unique to your device and found on a sticker, usually underneath. The Open button takes you straight to that address on your network.

How to find your router’s IP address

Windows

Press Windows + R, type cmd and press Enter. Run ipconfig. Under your active adapter, the line labelled Default Gateway is your router’s address.

macOS

Open System Settings, choose Wi-Fi, click Details next to your network, then TCP/IP. The Router field is the address you need. On older versions it is under System Preferences › Network › Advanced.

iPhone and iPad

Open Settings › Wi-Fi, tap the i icon next to your network and scroll to the IPv4 Address section. The Router line is your gateway.

Android

Open Settings › Network & internet › Internet, tap the gear next to your network, then Advanced or View more. Look for Gateway. On Samsung devices it is under Wi-Fi › your network › Manage router.

Linux

Run ip route | grep default in a terminal. The address after the word via is the router.

Common login hostnames

Many brands also let you reach the admin page by name instead of number, which works even if the IP has been changed. Type these into the address bar while connected to the router.

If the login page still won’t open

Confirm you are connected to the right network and not to a guest network, a VPN or mobile data. Try http:// explicitly, since some routers do not answer on https. Clear the browser cache or use a private window. If you get an IP starting with 169.254, your device never received an address from the router; restart both and try again. As a last resort, a factory reset restores the default IP and credentials.
